About us

Barawak is a charity organisation founded to support African, Caribbean and minority communities in the UK. We provide essential services to single parents and young people, helping them to make their lives more secure and have access to the resources they need.

Our organisation provides a variety of services, including education and training, counselling, and career guidance. We are passionate about creating a better future for those who are disadvantaged, and it is our mission to help our community reach their full potential.

We believe that everyone should have access to the same opportunities, regardless of their race or background. That’s why we’re committed to being a voice for those who need it most and providing a platform for people to come together and celebrate their shared culture.

Our Mission

Our Purpose

Barawak is a charity organisation that was initially established to support and uplift individuals and families of African and Caribbean descent, particularly members of the Diaspora-hebraic community, by addressing poverty, improving welfare, and fostering community resilience.

Through tailored resources, advocacy, and cultural empowerment, we aim to provide opportunities for stability, self-sufficiency, and improved quality of life, while promoting unity, dignity, and inclusion for all in need.

Our Mission

Barawak is committed to alleviating poverty and improving welfare among individuals and families of African and Caribbean descent, including those identifying as Hebraic-African within the conscious community. We provide tailored support, resources, and advocacy to address economic hardship, social marginalisation, and challenging living conditions.

While our project key areas are within the Hebraic-Afro communities, we extend our efforts to all African and Caribbean communities in need, promoting inclusivity, stability, and an improved quality of life.

Our Vision

To build a world where individuals and families of African and Caribbean descent, have access to the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. We envision a community where cultural heritage is celebrated, social inequalities are addressed, and all people, regardless of background, can achieve stability, self-sufficiency, and a higher quality of life.
