A Meal Served With Love, Memory and Community

At this year’s Windrush Day Celebration, guests will enjoy a beautifully prepared, table‑seated meal the kind that feels like home. The dishes are simple, comforting and deeply rooted in the flavours our elders grew up with: warm spices, slow‑cooked tenderness, and the unmistakable aroma of Caribbean and West African kitchens.

This is not just dinner. It is a shared moment of honour, a chance to sit together, breathe, talk, and remember the journeys that brought our families here. Each plate is prepared with care, using ingredients that echo the stories of resilience, welcome and belonging.

A meal shared. A story remembered. A community strengthened.
